Mailing Instructions

BumbleBee Quilting is not responsible for lost shipments. Please buy insurance if you want to be reimbursed for the value of your quilt if lost during shipment. Our standard shipping & handling fee is $12.00 for quilts up to and including Full Size. Queen & King Size $18.00.

It is important that we discuss your project and budget BEFORE you ship the quilt. Please contact me by phone (503) 853-0714 or Email for a consultation.

  1. We will discuss your quilting preferences. We offer edge-to-edge, custom quilting and everything in between. See our Patterns Page for examples of available patterns. If you do not see something you like, there are hundreds more edge-to-edge patterns available. We will help you choose the perfect quilting design that enhances your quilt and meets your budget.
  2. We will discuss your choice of thread. I will always double check the thread choice once I receive the quilt to ensure a perfect match. If you would like me to match a color from the quilt, you can mark it with a note pinned to the fabric.
  3. We will discuss the dimensions of your quilt. Please be prepared with the length and width so that I can accurately estimate the charges and completion date.
  4. I will send you a work order (via email, US mail or fax). This will confirm your design choices and cost to complete your project. I will ask you to complete your contact information and return this work order with the quilt. I will also provide detailed shipping instructions and tips for preparing your top for quilting.

Please contact us to let us know that your quilt top is on its way. I will contact you as soon as the quilt is received so that we can review the details and confirm any remaining details.

Please note that payment is due in full before completed quilt is returned. If you are paying by check or money order, please include when mailing the quilt. If you prefer to pay using PayPal, payment is due at the time of completion.

Once the quilt is complete, I will contact you to schedule the return shipping - just in case you are away from home.

How do I prepare my top for shipping?

  • FOLD both top and back neatly, to minimize creasing. (See Preparing for Quilting for additional instructions)
  • INCLUDE printed work order with your contact information completed.
  • INCLUDE Check or money order if not using PayPal. Payment is due in full before completed quilt will be returned.
  • INCLUDE FABRIC FOR BINDING (Optional) I will provide the exact yardage required during the consultation. Any excess will be returned.
  • INCLUDE BATTING, if you prefer using your own.
  • PLACE quilt top, and any fabrics and batting in plastic bag to protect from moisture during shipping.
